Facts About Syntech USB C Female to USB Male Adapter Pack of 3[Aluminum Shell, High Stability] Type C to USB A Converter Compatible with iPhone 13 Pro Max Apple Watch Series 7 AirPods 3 CarPlay etc. Space Gray
This shouldn’t change anything about the signals passing between the accessory and the PC/tablet/phone. All it does is change the size/shape of the connector. If the tablet is capable of using the device you want to connect, but the device has a USB type A connection, then this should work for you.
I received a pack of 3 separate units.
Yes… it’s Backward compatible. I would suggest using a thunderbolt 3 (20 Gbps) USB-C Cable
If your device connects with USB C connection, yes it will enable you to charge your device with a portable USB charger.
I am unfamiliar with the Oculus cable but if it has usb-c connections on both ends then it should work.
My guess based on looking on Amazon you cannot order one of each color. For a more matter-of-fact answer you might consider contacting the company directly through Amazon.
Yes it works with anker products if it has a USB port. The output will charge the same no effect.
Yes, I am using it to charge my iPhone SE.
I have an Xbox but have not tried it.
Yes, I tried that on mine in my car and the charge works. It seems to work in most anything that receives this USB connection thus far. Hope this helps.
These are definitely slower, but they work
If it’s a C Type charger. …yes
That’s exactly why I bought the adapters. This will work with the new iPhone cable for charging. Not sure about data transfer though.
Yes, as long as you have enough power as input.
I do see why it should not…
Info About Syntech USB C Female to USB Male Adapter Pack of 3[Aluminum Shell, High Stability] Type C to USB A Converter Compatible with iPhone 13 Pro Max Apple Watch Series 7 AirPods 3 CarPlay etc. Space Gray (Reviews From Amazon)
Small and sleek, these adapters do exactly what they say they do…and that’s the catch. These tiny adapters, while great for charging, are limited to USB 2.0 data transfer speeds. So not sure how much use I’ll get out of them on a regular basis, but they’ll still be good to have in a bind. As always, however, I love the space gray, and being so small and light, they’re hardly noticeable at the end of a cable or in a computer bag pocket, and it’s good to know they’ll have my back if I ever find myself lacking a USB-C port.
One last note: these little guys are surprisingly difficult to pry out of their packaging. After slowly peeling out the first one, I found it much easier to flip the plastic packing over and pop the other two out like pills.
I wasn’t entirely sure this would work because all the other reviews were for charging cables and such. I recently got a wireless headset (SteelSeries Arctis 1) that uses USB-C, and for whatever reason, the included C to A adapter is a cord about as long as a typical phone cord. Since I switch between PC, PS4 and Switch with this headset frequently it was kind of annoying to unplug a long cord and move it around the room (not to mention, the long dangling cord looked pretty ugly). These adapters work great! I have one permanently plugged into my PC, and one into my PS4, and I can just move the dongle back and forth easily. So if you were wondering if this works for headsets, it definitely does!
It keeps asking for a review. So here it goes…
I haven’t even used these yet as I am going to use them for my new iPhone 12 & iPad speed chargers since they use the much better USB.
They came fast (that may not be evwryone’s jam, HHA), they look good, and I mean, can they really be bad performanxe-wise?
They’re so simple, it’d be like F’n up toast. Well, I’ve seen someone F up toast, so I guess it COULD happen.
So how about this, I’ll come back and edit my review when my iPhone12 is delivered in 3 weeks.
We good?
Cool! 😌
If you’re like me, you have a variety of devices that use traditional (USB-A) connections and the compact USB-C (or Thunderbolt 3). I bought a package of Syntech USB-C to USB 3 adapters and found them invaluable. Then I ran into the opposite issue – I had a portable drive with a USB-C connector, but I needed to attach it to a laptop with a traditional USB-A connection. This adapter was perfect!
To test both, I used the two adapters together to connect the drive to a USB-C part. That’s right – USB-C connector to [USB-C to USB-A] adapter to [USB-A to USB-C] adapter. If there were problems with either adapter, that would surely show them.
No problems at all! I connected to Macbook Air and ran First Aid to make sure the disk checked out. It did.
I highly recommend keeping a few of these around. The 3 pack for just $8.99 is a bargain!
“The great thing about standards is that we have so many of them”…. – Said Nobody ever. SO you got a new device that needs a USB-C charger. So you’re about to run off to the store to get a new, special $25 charger just for this new toy. Actually, you’re going to need several of those special charger, aren’t you?
Oooorrrr, you could just get one of these USB-C to regular USB-A adapters, tape it onto the new charger cable, and HA! You can charge your NEW toy with any of your OLD chargers! HA! This thing works great.
So convenient! and you are so smart for doing things the easy way. This time the easy way is cheaper too! You & me bud, we are so smart! 🙂 And we have the cool adapters.
This worked perfectly for me. I’m using it for data only. I verified that I can flip the USB-C connection over and it works both ways, just to be sure.
My application is that I wanted to run USB cables through my wall from my media computer to my TV. I’m using older USB-A devices, but I wanted to run USB-C through the wall for future compatibility. So I’m using a similar USB-C to A plug (same brand) with this A-to-C adapter. This double-conversion (plus three cables and two keystone jacks) is as rough a test for data compatibility, and all the components worked perfectly.
I use my Samsung phone in my car with Google Auto and especially since I got a newer model phone I had issues with it constantly disconnecting (plus I wanted a longer cable that I couldn’t get to work with previous models), I read on a forum that for some reason if you use a USB-C adapter and a USB-C cable that it doesn’t happen. I got these and a couple of different cables in longer lengths, the 1st cable I used didn’t work but the 2nd worked great, I’ve been using it since I got them and I haven’t had any disconnections at all, even when I pick up the phone (which used to happen frequently) and it’s easier to pay with my phone at a drive thru or let a passenger use it now that I can use a longer cable.
Summery: “GREAT PRODUCT”……Purchase it without hesitation.
“Back in the day“ I was a packaging engineer/Industrial designer, and can recognize a highly evolved and well conceived of product, when I see👀 it.
This SYNTECH (usb-c/male to usb-b/male) adapter product is undoubtedly of that high quality, not to mention the outstanding and really protective packaging and IMPRESSIVE marketing effort.
I especially value this adapter because I can avoid the 18/20 watt “vigorous” usb-c charging rate, and, utilize it with my USB-C charging cable and normal 5 watt ac adapter cube, thereby obtaining a more gentle/battery friendly charging rate!
These things are GREAT!!!
These adapters are great. I really needed some, because my Desktop PC has only USB type A & B connectors, and now many small devices have only USB-C connectors. I have tested these adapters in all the USB ports on my Cybertron CLX desktop PC, and also on my Lenovo Yoga C940 convertible laptop (both running Windows 10 Home), and they all work very well. And the adapters are so small, I can just leave one in place all the time. They seem to be very well-built, and have a high-quality feel.
I used this adapter to transfer files between my Crucial X6 1TB SSD with USB-C port and cable and my HP server w/ Ubuntu USB port. I did need to mount the drive manually in Ubuntu, but that process was standard and strait forward. The speed of transfer obviously wasn’t at USB-C speeds, but it was near the speed specification of the USB port on the server. This adapter met my needs for data transfer and powering the connected USB-C SSD.
