No. This is a cord to connect the handset to the phone base(4P4C connector). It is not a data cable(6P2Cconnector). The latter cable being used to connect the phone base to the telephone system.

Yes. The handset on telephones are not specific to the number of lines the phone can access. The line from the phone to the wall will be different and not coiled usually. Make sure you are ordering the correct cord as this cord connects the handset to the actual phone, not the phone to the wall.

I am eliminating extraneous sources of EMF in my home, and recently got rid of my landline cordless phones in favor of traditional corded phones. I love not having to deal with batteries that go out — as well as getting rid of the extra source of EMF around our bed where we sleep. The problem was, our new corded phones had ridiculously short receiver cords and it felt like being tethered to the wall. These are the perfect length! Easy fix, and my daughter now loves having “old timey” phones in the house.

The handset cord was causing a lot of static on one of our business phones. We chose to purchase this set of cords for the price and the fact that is comes with 2 cords. We have several phones and the original cords on other phones in the office have become difficult to hear callers very well with the static. It is nice to have an extra one. We have been using this cord only a few days but the clarity is much better with this cord.

Update: The seller contacted me and sent me replacement cords. I know products can have a defect that is beyond the seller’s control and this seller reached out to me and made this right. I bought this cord for my office phone and I received it 3/12/20 and today is 3/17/20 and the cord is already missing up. Now I don’t work weekends so this is basically this is after 2 1/2 days of use. I will not buy again and I would not recommend but then again that’s just my opinion.

Very impressed with this phone cord. I had bought one from the store, and it quickly started tangling up and starting affecting the wires where I couldn’t heard unless I held it a certain way. I read the reviews on this one, and so far, I’m loving it. The quality of the cord, the sound quality, and it is the perfect length. I would highly recommend this phone cord. Purchase this item for a relative that yes still uses a standard house phone with cord. The cord as they are prone to do began to short and therefore needed to be replaced. This item comes with two cords which is simply great. Simply product, ease of use and installation in addition to a great price. Yes, would highly recommend and purchase again if house phone’s are still around by the time these wear out. 😆

I bought this as a replacement for my parent’s landline phone and it does the job for a reasonable price. Their previous cord was really too long for their needs (just a desk phone) and had become so twisted, it was a hassle to use. This one was easy to plug in and use from the get go. I would purchase it again.

Jan 2020 – this cord replaces the AIEX brand cord purchased Nov 2019 that recently developed static. The 2019 cord replaced a 5 year old cord that developed static. Of course, I cannot attest to longevity for this recent purchase. But I will update if quality changes.

Just what I needed and got here quickly. Cords for landlines are not that easy to find. Radio Shacks aren’t on practically every street corner anymore and other electronics stores are disappearing as well.
