it has a headset connection so it should be able to do that
Yes. Further clarification is that you don’t have to put the TV on "mute" which means you don’t have to see the mute icon. You simply turn down the TV speakers volume to whatever level you want for ambient sound (or zero). That’s because the audio signal input to the TV ears is a discrete audio signal or source. Keep in mind, also, that the signal from the transmitter to your TV ears is "line of sight" so if, for example, you hold up a book to read you’re very likely to hear static interference.
These are not noise cancelling headphones, but you should find that when you are wearing them, it is a lot easier to concentrate on the tv sound.
I’ve found that some TV’s (such as Samsung) allow you to adjust for audio delays in the Expert Audio settings.
It has been a long time since having them but believe they come with 2 headsets.
yes it has tone control
There is a slot for two sets of ears. When one set is not on the charger, the red light will be on. I have two sets of ears in case one runs out of "juice", then I plug that one in and take the "fresh" one off the charger.
The transmitter must be attached to the TV then you can use two headsets at the same time.
Yes. Attach the TV Ears transmitter to the back of your lg smart tv using either the 3.5 audio out or the digital audio out (TV Ears Digital offers both connection options). Then anything you watch on TV including Netflix will be hear through the TV Ears headset.
I’m calling Amazon
Please Google and call their customer service. Very nice and helpful people. I have owned two sets. Got one for my mom and our neighbors bought a pair. Great product.
The green light just means that it is charging and is good to go.
You can buy Replacement transmitters on line. Numerous available and guaranteed on eBay.
the headsets are wireless but the base does have to plug in to the tv.
I would not recommend this to anyone. I sent mine back for credit within 2 days because the headsets faded out when I went into the next room only 12 feet away with an open door. Your question is too specific I am a PC owner.
A better question would be are these head sets compatible with your anticipated expectation? I will answer the question that I just posed.

The best I could rate these headsets is (maybe) two stars. Because they do work but with several "buts". For the price, they do not work as well as the $59 pair of headsets that I hoped to replace with your advertised $190 21st Century digital engineering but…
But the volume control goes from silent to too loud in less than a quarter of a turn of the volume control. But the tonal control has little effect (if any) on the quality of the sound. But the sound goes to static if you recline too flat of if you scratch your chin. But the range is less that the advertised. But if I forget to turn off the headset before I put it on the charge port the batteries get depleted. A blinking light would avoid that

Very pleased with these headphones. We find them convenient and comfortable, contrary to some reviews claiming they hurt their ears.
It is such a pleasure to be able to listen to volume at our own preference. Nice clear sound, easy to use.
Bought these for my husband who cannot hear TV and wears 2 hearing aids. I can tell they work really well beacause he is actually bellly laughing at sitcoms, which he never really heard conversation before. I would recommend them to anyone. I bought 2 thinking I would wear them just incase the television muted as other earphones have done. But these do not mute the TV work great, so now if the battery runs low he can use the second pair. Great buy!!!
This is the best gift I could give ourselves! Now we can watch TV without bothering the younger folks who are trying to sleep. We can now hear gravel crunching, water being pouring over ice cubes and other sounds from our shows that we had not heard before. We highly recommend these.
Cranking up TV volume didn’t help. Zvox with ‘dialog enhancement’ didn’t solve the problem. Maybe my hearing is shot (Which would explain my recent fondness for the group AC/DC, played LOUD.) TV Ears allows me to watch TV with the wife without her complaining “it’s too loud” and doing away with my “what did he say?” AND wife has started using the second headset, although she claims her hearing is fine. Money well spent. I don’t know how long batteries hold a charge, I haven’t used them longer than a couple hours at a time. One more thing, I often wear them upside down. That way the heavy part is on top of my head and not weighing down my ears.
These ears make all the difference when listening to TV. I hear every word and my husband loves them even though he doesn’t have a hearing problem. Those shows with the music louder than the dialog are completely clear with the Ears on. You learn quickly to remember to turn the volume all the way down until it clicks because if you put them on the charger in the on position they will be dead when you go back to use them.
Well, okay…we weren’t going to divorce over this, but my husband and I struggled for some kind of compromise with the volume on the TV. He wanted it LOUD so he could hear and I couldn’t stand it. Also some of the movies have the annoying discrepancy between the music and conversations, so we were always turning the volume up and down. These TV Ears are making a huge difference! It didn’t know such little ear buds could be so effective! I recommend these to anybody who has to turn the volume up too loud for companions’ comfort. It also helps if you want to watch TV while others are studying or sleeping!
Our TV room is located on 1st floor directly below a bedroom suite in our home which is often used by visiting friends and relatives and one of our kids had politely informed us that the TV audio can be very distracting. So, the TV Ears Dual Digital Wireless Headset System is the ideal solution for that issue. My wife and I can enjoy clear and robust audio in the TV room which is otherwise silent and everyone is happy. The TV ears are perfectly convenient, comfortable and they effectively accomplish what they’re designed to do. If I had any criticism it would only be that the LED’s on the front face are extremely bright, actually annoying, especially in a darkened room. My simple solution for that was to fold up a post-it lengthwise a couple times, then fold it roughly in half and hold it down at front right with the TV ears base so that the thickness of the paper in front of only the offending LED’s blocks most of the brightness. That way the signal isn’t blocked. Also, I have no idea what purpose all the other LED’s serve, except the ones which signify that the TV ears themselves are properly in place when re-charging.
These are fantastic! My sister bought some for her husband and I did likewise for mine. Her husband is hard of hearing and mine has tinnitus. The nice thing about the product is that anyone could use them to hear programming clearer (who among us has not had to rewind to catch what was said?), person controls their own “ears” and can completely mute the TV. If you want a quieter household, these are for you! Plus they are comfortable to wear; not cumbersome at all.
My friends have this brand and gave them rave reviews and I was able to use theirs before buying my own set. I was able to install the unit to my tv by myself, without having to call in the grandkids for help. They work perfectly and I love them. I can watch tv without disturbing my family late night they don’t even know I’m still up
Husband likes to listen to Lawrence Welk at top volume. This way, he can listen and I can read or use my Bluetooth to watch what I want at a tolerable volume. We use both ear sets so as not to bother our neighbor or when watching British language programs, where you have to pay close attention! Ha!Ha!
