Works great! I have a Samsung Smart TV that is a couple of years old. I lost my remote, so I ordered this new remote. It was wrapped in plastic and sent in a bubble wrapper with no instructions, so I was a little concerned at first. However, I popped open the back of the remote and put two AAA batteries inside. I pointed it at my TV and pushed the “on” button and my TV came on without any issues! All the buttons on the remote work very well and they do what they are supposed to do. I couldn’t ask for more.

I’m very pleased with this buy! All I had to do was insert batteries (not included) and it was good to go! No “set-up” or syncing required!!
The buttons are far less sensitive than my original (factory) remote. There aren’t any buttons with raised notches for guidance or buttons that are slanted for easy identification (pictured – original vs replacement remote), but overall this is a great replacement product! 10 out of 10, would recommend!

The reason for my “remote control” rating of 4 out of 5 is because of the sensitivity of the buttons… That could be improved.
I will update my review if the buttons become more sensitive overtime with use.

Update (8/19/2021): I’ve been using this replacement remote for 8 months and I don’t even notice the differences that I originally wrote about. If you’re getting this as a replacement, then the muscle memory will be there. I’ve gotten by just fine without the “raised notches” and “slanted buttons”. Still 10 out of 10 recommend!

Didn’t have to program remote to tv at all! Popped batteries in and it was ready to go! I am now happy that I have a remote! The original went out a few days ago!! Pleased customer!

I’m old school don’t like talking with items especially with a remote control that came with my Samsung Curve 65” it takes forever, I purchased this remote right outta box Instructions Not Included just insert the battery and magic life back to normal, I can lower/raise the volume without the screen pausing, turn the channels, turn the tv off/on, Do all the settings no need the original remote It has the smart Hub button, but no shortcut buttons, No voice command, Still can manage Hulu, Netflix and more, I’ll give a more honest review in the near future, hopefully it last I see a lots of negative reviews hopefully my next be stay positive, I’m enjoying life again, 5/16/21 😀

After having our puppy use our regular remote as his new chew toy this universal remote was a solid repplacement for our bedroom Samsung tv.

I was gifted a Samsung smart t.v. recently from a relative who no longer needed/wanted it. They had lost or broken the original remote some time ago and had one of these instead. The remote looked very well used and some of the buttons didn’t always work. (Volume would go up but not down, and the right arrow worked but not the left.) They told me this remote had worked great for a long time and had suffered a lot of abuse from kids, pets, being dropped a lot, etc. So I decided to get another of the same brand. When the remote arrived all I had to do was put in some batteries. it worked right away, didn’t have to program it to my t.v. or anything. I am pleased to report that all the buttons work. I can’t personally speak to the longevity since I’ve only had it a few days but so far it’s working perfectly.

A perfect replacement for a Q80A(2021 model) which only comes with a basic solar remote that lacks some useful controls like their past compact remotes once had. Samsung used to provide a full function remote and a simplified remote with all TVs but no more. The only remote they include is useless and requires deep diving into the on screen menu system to access basic functions like changing the input source. This solves all those issues for me. I like that despite being a full function controller it is relative compact compared to older Samsung full function remotes at about 2/3rds the size. For those that had issue opening the battery door, this is the exact same design on older Samsung remotes. You simply need to put your finger in the indent and press down while sliding back when it releases.

I didn’t even have to program it! Batteries went in, hit the button, then the television turned on, volume worked, channel search worked. This thing is great!

I just got the 32” Samsung M7 smart monitor, and the included remote seemed to have very few buttons. That was my mistake, as once you get used to it, it has everything you need. I did want a spare remote, as I have misplaced other remotes, and went crazy waiting for a replacement. I always will have a spare now, and this looked like an inexpensive backup, and has a decent amount of extra functions. Of course it doesn’t have the heft of a $100 universal remote, but it works great, and after putting in the two AAA batteries, it just worked. Highly recommended, especially for the price. Enjoy!

We always lose our remotes and I’ve tried buying multiple remotes from local stores. They work temporarily and end up messing up. I saw these and the reviews were great. The price was cheap so I wasn’t super hopeful. I popped in the two AAA batteries needed (not included), and was confused that there’s no directions to set it up. I pressed the power button to see if there was any lights and it turned off my TV! I turned it back on and was able to do everything like normal. No setup whatsoever! I’m so excited. I HATE setting up remotes. I thankfully bought 2 and I won’t ever bother buying remotes anywhere else.
