Sorry, not sure. I only know it was supposed to be for my specific brand and some of the buttons wouldnt work at all. Coudnt use source button. So i returned it. There are much better uni remotes on here. I would stay away from this one.
Activation button??? Other than on and off to "activate" the tv or particular services such as Netflix, not that I can tell.

If that doesn’t work, can YouTube how to link tv to remote. It’s actually pretty simple. I’ve done it with multiple tvs and various remotes over the years. Just requires patience and ability to follow directions pretty well.
If that doesn’t work, probably a faulty remote. Exchange it for a different one.

Very happy with this remote. Arrived quickly and required no setup-worked right out of the box! I’ve been using a universal remote for our old Insignia TV. Now not only can I change the volumn and turn on the TV, but I can change the channel and enlarge the screen size!

The media could not be loaded. I lost the remote to my Insignia tv and ordered this remote. It was perfect for this television. Sometimes I have to double click for it to complete my request when turning on, off and changing channels but works nonetheless.

Super easy to use…just add batteries. I pulled the sticker that said “Remote” off and it was revealed that this is an actual Insignia remote! Who would have thought?? Works great :o)
