Facts About USB C to Ethernet Adapter, uni RJ45 to USB C Thunderbolt 3/Type-C Gigabit Ethernet LAN Network Adapter, Compatible for MacBook Pro 2020/2019/2018/2017, MacBook Air, Dell XPS and More – Gray
Never tried it on my Note 9 until now. Turned off WiFi and plugged the adapter into my Cat 5 cable connected to my router and was able to browse the internet. Typically I use the adapter with my Chromebook.
NOT SURE. But if you mean to plug into the dock, I am afraid it cannot work with it. For Nintendo switch, they have their own and only protocol for the type-c port, not compatible with most on the market. Feel free to reach out for any questions to our support e-mail: [email protected]

Apple’s Ethernet to Thunderbolt is not a Thunderbolt 3. I learned at an Apple store that Apple’s Ethernet to Thunderbolt will NOT work with my new 2018 MacBook Pro with Thunderbolt 3.
Not sure precisely, but I’d check to make sure that you turn off wifi whenever you plug into ethernet. I’ve seen this conflict in other settings.
AVB is supported by the Thunderbolt chipset, and this unit is described as a Thunderbolt to Ethernet adapter, so I’d say yes.
Yes
Hi there, would you please double-check on your iPad Pro model? Because as far as we’re concerned, iPad Pro doesn’t have a "2019" model. This ethernet adapter will work great with iPad Pro 2018 and 2020 because both of these two models have a USB-C port. This only connects a wired ethernet cable to a USB C port. No other function.
To your question, our adapter support RTL8153 / RTL8153B. š Please rest assured that we provide a lifetime warranty for our products so you could always contact us here: [email protected] if you have any problems with it. š
Yes, works fine on mine.
I believe the Galaxy S7 uses a micro-USB connector / not a USB-C connector. If so, this will not work. I’m not sure if the phone will recognize Ethernet connections.
If you means Asus Zenpad 8.0 Z380KL, the tablet, then the item cannot supply connectivity.

I am afraid the answer is No. š
Info About USB C to Ethernet Adapter, uni RJ45 to USB C Thunderbolt 3/Type-C Gigabit Ethernet LAN Network Adapter, Compatible for MacBook Pro 2020/2019/2018/2017, MacBook Air, Dell XPS and More – Gray (Reviews From Amazon)
Not a single complaint about this Ethernet adapter. Plug it in and it works. No problems at all. Have yet to run a speed test as the network I use it on is full of old and slow devices. Maybe one day I’ll have a chance to let it stretch its legs.
One added bonus is this adapter also works pretty darn well as a hand warmer. Even when it’s not working very hard this thing gets warm. Really warm. Warm enough that if it were one of my designs (I design networked embedded computers for a living) I’d want to quadruple check the specs for every part to make sure everything was okay at these temperatures. Hopefully the hand water feature won’t shorten the life of the Ethernet adapter.
I run off of gigabit Google fiber at home and wanted to get more benefit with my Apple devices. I did a bandwidth test with this adapter out of the box and got 448 vMbps down and 382 Mbps up… and that was with a CAT5 ethernet cable. Their specs say to use CAT6 if you want to reach Gigabit speeds. I’ve had 2 other adapters that serve this function but neither of them come close to the speed of these Uni adapters. I also just did a bandwidth test on my iPad Pro and got 396 Mbps download and 421 Mbps upload. Sadly, however, when i put it in my Macbook Pro (2019 2.3GHZ 8 Core Intel I9). It showed up right away with a dhcp address in the network, DNS, everything but connectivity. I’m hoping I will be able to iron that out but even after a reboot and specifyng google DNS and cloudflare DNS i still didn’t get any connectivity. That’s may just be something thats needs to be configured differently.
The one thing I will say against it is that it seems to get hot pretty fast.
If it burns up I’ll come back here and post, but so far I’m a happy camper.
Gave me the same speed (940 Mbps) on my iPad mini as on my Mac with ethernet – more than double the wifi speeds.
Of course, your speed is limited by what you provider offers. I have a 1 Gbps setup. Using wifi, I get about 425 Mbps.
While I usually won’t really need the faster speed, it is nice to have. Just plug things in and it works!
The USB-C market has a ton of different companies and products, but in my experience, Uni is the one to go with. I own three of their 8-in-1 hubs, 4 of their 10 ft cables, and two of these ethernet adapters, so I’ll limit my review to that. The RJ-45 adapter works just as expected. I’ve used mine with a Windows 10 Lenovo laptop, a Mac mini, a 13 in MacBook Pro, a 16 inch MacBook Pro, and an iPad Pro. In all cases, it works flawlessly; no need to install drivers from some strange place or hunting for drivers. While their products are great, they’re also backed with amazing customer service. For an unknown reason, one adapter wasn’t operating at gigabit speeds; I contacted support and within 24 hours a replacement was on the way. The price is right, the products are great, and the customer service completes the trifecta, Uni is the way to go.
My wife is highly sensitive to EMF signals (wifi/cell-phone data/bluetooth produce massive headaches/body-aches for her), purchased one for hardwiring our phones to our home fiber network, has worked 100% of the time on our Samsung phones. Also works for hardwiring to our PCs via the usb-c port. Ordered a second and it has worked just a well. Great value for the money. Ordering a third just because they work so well and would like one for traveling. So far, highly recommend this product
There is a lot to admire about this product. And I’m sorry, but even the best WiFi suffers drops and interference, which gets worse as more and more WiFi devices proliferate in the home, office, and on the move. So having an ethernet adapter for a modern laptop that has no native ethernet jack is a must in my view.
It works right out of the box. I plugged it into my PC and attached a cat6 cable to a 1gig ethernet and it worked immediately. No issues. This was with an LG Gram with the latest generation hardware in it.
Perfect for travel, even comes with it’s own little pouch to store it in.
The device is well made, and features an aluminum housing, which will help dissipate heat better and more efficiently. The USB C connector and it’s cable are roubust, with a woven fabric outer cover on the cable. Everything about this device oozes “premium quality”.
Some reviewers have noted/complained that the device gets quite warm. Yeah, it does.. I measured it and in ambient of 75 degrees, I found the case to be ~ 95 degrees when measured with a thermocouple. At 95 degress, it really is no worse than the bottom side of many laptops to be honest. Besides. the unit is spec’ed to operate at a junction temperature of over 100 degrees C for the actual chips in the unit.. so there is no way this is any real reliability or safety concern.
When I got the item it seemed to be very high quality for the price. Extruded type C connector, braided cord, metal case and Gigabit ethernet. The cable is long enough to get out of the way and act as a semi strain relief, but short enough not to be a bother. I plugged it into my office laptop but it didn’t work at first. I contacted customer support and they gave me a few steps to troubleshoot and if it didn’t work they would exchange it since it has a lifetime warranty. Also, they responded to me faster than some other companies. I followed the troubleshooting and it turned out the ethernet cable was the fault. I tested with a known good one and it fired right up. It gets warm but thats normal and the metal construction seems to dissipate the heat. It never gets hot, just warm. Now that I’ve seen the quality of uni products I will be looking at them first.
Idk why laptops do not come with Ethernet ports anymore, but hooking a cable to this adapter vs dealing with a bad wireless signal that drops all the time is a no brainer!!!
I installed the adapter and it was a simple plug and play and I got 940 Mbs download 32.4 Mbs upload which matched the max from my cable company. It worked as advertised. Unfortunately it stopped working later the next day, so I sent an email asking about tech support to Uni and they responded immediately and shipped a replacement unit the same day with apologies and no question about issuing a replacement. In my email, I did not ask for a replacement, it was offered by them. What a shock about this fabulous level of customer support.
This is a great company with superior customer support. I highly recommend any product that they sell.
The reviews made me a bit nervous after purchasing but this USBC Ethernet adapter works just fine and is quick to connect. There are no installation downloads or anything it is actually plug and play.
I purchased this only for connectivity purposes I could care less about internet speed at the moment. Iām a rising senior nursing student and am taking a research course this summer. I could not risk my WiFi kicking me out or dropping while taking a midterm or final through blackboard and needed to buy one. Best Buy likely sells these at a much cheaper price but the closest Best Buy is pretty far with the way gas prices are. I am more than happy to update this if something comes up but testing it thus far it works perfectly fine.
Iām using this on a HP ENVY 15t-es100
