I feel like there are a ton of TV wall mounts that seem to be exactly like this one and I’m not sure how different any of them are from each other. I just went with this one because it had good previous reviews and was among the cheapest for this type of wall mount. It’s working well for me so far.

This mount provides rotation and tilt. It does not provide full range of motion, ie. it’s not going to let you pull the TV *down* from above a mantle like some more expensive mounts do. If you want that, you’re probably going to pay a couple hundred bucks. I decided that for me and my use case, that wasn’t worth it. The TV I’ve mounted with this is in an “extra” family room in my house (I have one of those houses with a second living space that nobody ever knows what to do with), and I mainly use it to watch from the kitchen while cooking. The number of times per year I’d have to worry about someone having to look up uncomfortably at this screen from the couch I could probably count on one hand. But YMMV – if I were mounting my main TV over a fireplace, I’d probably want to be able to pull it down.

Installing it was about as easy as it probably could be. Keep in mind that there are some steps to this that just can’t be simplified or eliminated. You first need to attach the hanger brackets to your TV, which is a matter of just a few screws. Make sure your TV supports one of the many standard VESA mounts this mount does – I’d be very surprised if any modern TV wouldn’t be compatible, but you may just want to double check. I had a little difficulty figuring out what screws to use to attach the brackets to my TV – the ones that came with my TV were too short, the ones meant to be used for this that came with the mount too long. Luckily they provided a set of screws for a *different* purpose that I ended up not needing and that fit perfectly. But if they hadn’t, I’d have had to make a trip to the hardware store.

Next, if you’re attaching the mount to a standard interior wall, you need to use a stud-finder to locate the wood studs to drill your holes into. A paper template came with mine to help out with the actual placement of the holes, but when I went to actually drill, I just held up the mounting plate to make sure everything lined up. Make sure you measure the height of your holes properly – I had doubts all the way up to the point of hanging my TV up that I had drilled high enough despite measuring several times. You do have a little leeway to move the brackets on the TV if you happen to drill a little high or low, but I wouldn’t want them to be holding the TV too far from its center of gravity.

The mount attaches to your wall studs with lag bolts, and you’ll need a ratcheted socket wrench with the right socket on it for this. This *did* require a trip to the hardware store for me. Truth be told I’m glad they were socket bolts rather than screw heads, because these are pretty serious bolts and getting them in those last few centimeters would be *really* difficult with a screwdriver or even a drill. If you’re wondering (I did), there is also some leeway to position the mount in the center of whatever you’re putting it over, if your studs do happen to be a bit off-center.

There’s then just some minor assembly of the arms that hold the brackets on the back of the TV, and then you hang the TV and secure it down. You do need to be careful that everything is more or less centered at this point. It is easy – and I did this initially – to hang the TV on the mounting arms slightly off-center, then push the whole thing into the wall off-center in the opposite direction. The TV will then look centered from a distance and from most angles, but will hang a little oddly, won’t sit flush against the wall and won’t have the right motion when you pull it out to tilt or rotate it. I had to unhook the TV again, re-center it on the mounting arms and then just push the mounting arms back the right way. Somehow I’d gotten the tilt tensioner caught up in the mechanism and that took me a few minutes to free, but it wasn’t a big deal.

If you mess up the leveling when you first drill your holes, you can level this mount by up to 4 degrees once it’s all assembled. The way you do that is by undoing four screws on the back and then literally grabbing the entire TV and manually leveling it before re-securing the screws, so it’s not exactly easy and is really a two-person job, but it works. I’ve seen tons of fireplace-mounted TV’s that were clearly askew; mine is now dead level and there’s no reason yours can’t be too.

The main thing is that this mount feels solid, which is always my big worry when wall-mounting a big TV.

The mount worked with my 75″ Samsung RU9000. The TV is about 70lbs well under what the mount is rated for. The mount included lots of different screws (M6 to M8) to attach to the TV, including the exact ones I needed (M8 45mm) I needed.
Installation is pretty simple: attach one part of the mount to the TV and the other to the wall separately. Then the TV is lifted and “hooked” on to the wall mounted part. I was able to install the TV mount side with the TV on its feet instead of laying it down on the screen which should not be done with larger TVs. Since the mount extends out from the wall, the feet can be left on while lifted and hooked on to the wall part. The feet can then be removed after install is complete.
The one minor negative is that there is a few degrees of downward tilt that I haven’t been able to get rid of. It is not noticeable from the front view though.

Allow me to preface this review by stating that I am recently visually impaired. I purchased this product to use in my basement where I have my workout equipment. While I have problems seeing I have a TV on to listen to the news and stream podcasts while I workout to combat boredom and to at least keep muscle tone.

I am (and was) somewhat handy as I always enjoyed working with my hands. Therefore, I enjoy tackling projects even though I sometimes make kistakes.

The instructions are more visual and I asked my wife for some help half way through the project. She is my eyes and I ask common-sense questions as we progress through the project.

It took us about 25 minutes to assemble. I feel the product is well-built and expect it to last for many years. The wheels are more than adequate to even roll in average carpet and provide stability. The different height levels can be used in different scenarios that can include being used in a conference room or classroom.

I did not install the shelf because I have no need for a shelf. However, I suspect it is a substantial shelf that will hold other equipment. The shelf height is adjustable too.

I like a cart versus being hung on the wall for it’s portability.
I am planning to buy one more for an upstairs bedroom.

I absolutely love this mount. It collapses to within 2″ to the back of the television. It comes straight out from the wall (to the back of the TV) 16″. I purchased and mounted a 43″ TV. The following angle measurement will vary depending on the TV set size, but, if pulled out to 16″ and turned to it’s extreme, either direction, either side will be approximately 34″ from the wall. (easily making the set viewable in my shop from nearly any angle your working)

Shockingly easy to mount and “clip” or slide the TV on to the mount. This 43″ shop TV is fairly light. That said, you really don’t expect any sag since it’s rated at 132 lbs. and there is no appreciable sag. There is sufficient tilt up/down for almost any reasonable application.

Not a problem with the mount, but I kind of wish I’d have mounted it a bit lower as I’m using this TV as a monitor for the shop computer. (puts a “crick” in my neck after a while…) 🙂

We replaced some screws with stainless but the ones they come with are good quality as well. We also created a mounting block in which we decorated with the same tile used on the floors. By doing this we were able to mount the USX on odd spaced studs and it looks good. Win win. The mount is very easy to assemble but you will need a second person or something to hold one end up with when hanging. Very happy with price and quality.

So, I bought a 70″ TV to replace a 50″ that died. Only after I bought it did I realize that the legs would be too far apart to fit on the TV stand that I had. So I came to Amazon and found this product. I had to have the TV in the corner of the room due to the room layout (windows, fireplace, etc.), so I needed something that had full range of motion, not just pulling it out and angling it down.
This was perfect. The mount is hung on the wall, but the TV is pulled out and angled in toward the center of the room. I like that I can, if I want, push the TV flush against the wall. The way it will stay most of the time means the huge TV dominates the room. So when I have guests, I’ll push it back.

I used this to mount older Vizio 45 inch TV in workshop. This is a very heavy TV for it’s size, but it works great. This TV also has an odd VESA mount width of 630mm. This mount works but I did have to remove one of the end stops. I didn’t want to go to the 800mm size TV mount. I like the versatility of the up and down tilt as well as the side to side tilt. Very Stable even when moving TV to new viewing angle.

Because of the mantle we needed something that could support the TV away from the wall. This was it. Because you can get behind it to adjust things it becomes super easy to install. Not only that, she can turn the tv to her viewing preferrence as well. When I need more mounts, I will be using USX Mounts from now on.

Instructions and numbering (labeling) of parts good. Assembly is straight forward, and it took me approximately 90 minutes from opening the box to leveling the screen.
Most importantly be certain to find center of your wall studs to insure the four lag bolts will support the mount and your widescreen.
Note that the two horizontal bars – two pieces each that join in middle – have bolt size that are different at each end. Don’t confuse thinking that the manufacturer messed up when you try to join the bars in the middle. You have inserted the wrong end towards the middle. You’ll understand when at that point of assembly. These bars are the ones that the widescreen hangs on.
Good quality mount. This mount moves the screen easily left or right of center. I’m well satisfied with this purchase at a reasonable price. I recommend this one.

Come together wonderfully. At first I was worried I’d be overwhelmed. Getting it attached to my plaster wall was literally the hardest part. If I had a wall already set, this would have been a cakewalk. The way the tv attaches is super nice. Just click it and you’re done! Tons of helpful extras, real sturdy design. It was simple enough so I was able to do it as one person. Probably easier with two, would reccomend that. However the fact I on my own was able to slap this thing together and it worked every bit as good as I was hoping speaks to how great a set this is.
