Facts About Verbatim CD-R 700MB 52X White Inkjet Hub Printable Recordable Media Disc – 100pk Spindle

What do you need to print on these discs?

So far, I have made printed about 300 cd’s with this printer, and I only had to replace the ink cartridges once…(buy generic ink replacements rather than the Canon replacements) I usually find the ink replacements on Amazon for under $20.00 for the XL size, which contain even more ink. I have used these Verbatim white cd’s before, and they work flawlessly. Always make sure when you purchase printable cd’s that you get the P/N # 95252…which is the smaller hole cd. If you buy any other number, the hole in the center will be larger in diameter, and the ink will smear on the plastic part of the hole. With the 95252, there is no smearing because the hole is smaller, and your printer will print to the very edge of the hole, resulting in a cleaner print out. I hope this info helps in your decision.

What color are the disks on the recording side?

The underside is the usual greenish toned silver. The tops are of course just white.

Can these be used for audio?

Yes

What does 1x – 52x mean.? I have some CD-R from another maked marked12x.

In other words if you have an old clunker that only records at 1x speed (I can’t imagine one of those still being around) it will work with that recorder. Your 12x CD-R should work in your faster CD ROM but they will record at a slower speed than a 52x. Sometimes you may wish to record at a slower speed if you are having trouble getting a good recording at the higher speed. Your 1x – 52x CD-R allows you to do that by changing the setting of your recording software to a slower recording speed. Hope this helps. Maybe someone with more precise understanding of this can chime in too.

After drying for 24 hours the printed surface still smears if touched by moisture. Are there any CD drying secrets?

I don’t know what type of printer or ink you are using, Mark, but I use an Epson 600 series printer and when I print on a Verbatim printable CD it drys almost immediately!! Are these music cds or media only? can these work in a sony recorder?

Other than the great appearance, the main advantage is that you can use them in a slot-loading player, as in a car, without fear of them sticking in the unit as adhesive labels are prone to do, and still have a nice looking CD without messy felt-tip ink.

Would this item work with the tascam cd-rw5000 professional recorder?

Yes, works with all CD recorders.

What is the difference between the 95251 and 95256 versions of these blank discs?

I haven’t the foggiest idea just read the descriptions

Can someone tell me where these discs are made. taiwan, china, malasia? i need a reviewer that purchased cd’s in november or december 2017. thanks

Don’t know where it’s made but why does it matter. They work wonderfully on your printer and you can make beautiful labels.

I am using a epson discproducer pp-100ap. will these work well? also about how quickly do these dry? i plan to give out the cds shortly after printing

Whether as one-offs or batches, it would be a good idea to load them into cases individually ASAP allowing the ink to "cure" without handling. That’s just my opinion though.

are the silver ones hub printable?

I HAVE USED VERBATIM CDs HUNDREDS OF TIMES. THEY ALWAYS WORK WELL.

Are these verbatim cd-rs made in taiwan, china, or ???

Made in China

Can someone tell me the disk manufacturer on these and i don’t mean verbatim. thanks!

I thought they were verbatim! Either way, they are work great, have had no problems getting them to read in anything, and even my printers print fine on the labels!

Would this item work on the tascam cd-rw5000 professional recorder?

A blank CD-R disc is just a blank CD-R so I would expect it to work in a Tascam CD-RW 5000 Recorder

can i record WAV format songs to these disc’s ?

Yes ! It is possible to record practically any audio format to these discs . They are good quality discs and much cheaper than TDK or Maxwell discs which I used previously .

Info About Verbatim CD-R 700MB 52X White Inkjet Hub Printable Recordable Media Disc – 100pk Spindle (Reviews From Amazon)

Excellent disks for mp3 music, photo’s, & general storage.

Had no problems with these disks. Were actually perfect. Burned disks at the slowest speeds to obtain the highest quality results possible. The oldest burned disks that I own are now 10yrs old. All are as they were the day that they were burned. They have not degraded with age. The printing surface is excellent for clarity & readability, & remains so after 10 yrs. There is absolutely no reason to pay more for CD disks. The only variable possible is the computer used to burn the disks. I personally built my from carefully selected components considered the best at the time of assembly.

Excellent Product

These are perfect. I used to use Lightscribe. They are still available but incredibly expensive. I have some that I printed and did a comparison to the Verbatim CD-R 700MB and the clarity is sharper, (which may or may not be the printer) but they are very affordable and work wonderful! I am ordering more because they are exactly what I need. I burn my own CD’s for my music business, Brian ‘Buck’ Ellard, and I want them to look professional and I’m very pleased with how they turned out. I highly recommend them to anyone wanting to do their own work but still wanting professional results. (the printing wasn’t perfectly centered but that was my own fault and I can live with that)

You can’t go wrong with Verbatim!

I’ve used these for nearly ten years at my synagogue to record sermons and make copies for our members. I’ve purchased thousands upon thousands of these discs during that time and could probably count on my fingers the number of "coasters" I’ve made. These discs are of consistently high quality and they record well even at the highest speeds, and I’ve gone back and listened to recordings that are over 8 years and they still play perfectly. I use an Epson inkjet printer to print labels on them for a more professional look, and the white matte coating holds the ink very well. The ink will bleed when wet, but that’s common with anything printed by an inkjet printer.

These are good, workhorse discs for storing audio, data, whatever fits. Highly recommended.

I burned three of these spindles: Great quality. No coasters so far. – Amazons packaging is awful!

Verbatim makes high quality CD-Rs. I already loved the regular CD-Rs and now I went a step further and switched to the printable variation.

I use a rubber stamp instead of a printer and this works pretty well, if I stamp it on a hard surface apply the right pressure without moving. I could also print on them, but the hand stamp is the more affordable option 😉

I bought several spindles of these CD-Rs and they all seem to work perfectly, so far.

Be aware, that Amazon does not protect the item appropriately when shipping. – Even after me calling them about the issue. – I had pieces broken off the spindle several times, however. This did not affect the CD-Rs I burned, so far.

Great recording CDs for such a low price.

My 100 CD pack arrived on time and in good condition. I got tired of gluing disc papers on my CDs. I knew there had to be a better way of writing on my CDs, so I bought this white Printable CDs and a CD/DVD printer. Now I just place my Printable CD into the printer CD tray and out comes my CD with everything printed on it, I even include some pictures relating to what I have just recorded. Stop gluing disc papers and or stop writing on the discs with black markers. You went to alot of trouble recording on your CD disc, don’t mess it up by scribbling on it with markers, even if you use magic markers it still won’t magically redo itself into art work, buy yourself a refurbished printer that prints on CD/DVDs for about $60 like I did, I went to E_SON website directly and found what I was looking for. The recordings are great, when I play the original and the copy, I can’t tell which CD is the original. I highly recommend this product. I give this a 5 star rating because simply put, it records like the name brands and at a lesser price.

Digging the blank printable area cd’s

Printed and burned with no errors. This has a full face, matte finish on the CD. Colors come out good, but not great. After drying, the ink did not smear. This is the version of Verbatim’s printable white CD with the largest possible printing area. If you create original artwork and print your own discs, this can make a big difference. This item is prefect for any band or artist that is trying to get themselves out there. Print up a bunch of these out and hand them out to people. I’ve been using them for my business of DJing and so far people have been telling me that the quality build of these item are great. I haven’t had one give me scratches for breaks during my playback of these disks. Get yourselves out there and make a name for yourself. We only live one life so we might as well be pursuing our dreams!

I would definitely be buying these again, Good price and fast shipping.

Verbatim is my favorite for blank discs

I have tried other, similarly-priced record-able discs, meaning less expensive than the big name brands; but I have come to trust Verbatim for price and quality. I use both plain and printable CD-R and DVD-R discs, without problems. The ink-jet printable discs come out looking great, and you can get hub print-ables that will accept ink right up to the center hole. The sound reproduction seems excellent and I have discs that I printed 10 years ago that still sound fine. Verbatim is my preferred brand.

Know Your Surface!

I prefer white surface CD-R’s over branded surface CD-R’s because writing info on the CD looks much better and the full surface is usable. However, there are two distinct types of this type of CD-R that Verbatim sells. The one with the white surface that includes the center hub portion (this listing) has a slightly rougher surface, while the other style leaves the hub portion clear and has a smoother, semi-gloss surface. I’m not sure of the difference if your application involves ink jet printing on the CD as I have no experience with that yet. However, if you are using Sharpies to write on these, the difference is stark. Sharpie writing on the rougher surface CD looks like a Sharpie running out of ink and frankly looks terrible. On the glossier surface, clear hub CD-R, Sharpies look excellent. It took me awhile to figure this out as I’ve been going back and forth between these two types of CD-R for awhile before finally realizing this. My preference is the Verbatim White CD-R. That is how it’s branded on the clear hub. I did a search on Amazon and instantly found this. Comes in a plastic spindle with a plastic casing that is wrapped with Verbatim info. I buy them in 100 unit amounts and this particular setup claims a 100 year archival life. I find Verbatim CD-R’s to be of superb quality with almost no duds.
I use professional Tascam CD Recorders that record in real time as well as pro duplicators. I definitely vouch for the quality of Verbatim CD’s. Now if someone would make a machine to make simple, fast labels directly on CD’s that look excellent and have a variety of type styles and colors (without going to a computer) I’d be real happy.

Great discs. Bad Packaging UPDATED

The cake box is all smashed up. I pay a little extra for these because I like having the boxes to keep them protected and organized. But this time I paid a little extra to have a smashed up box.

The discs are great though.

UPDATE: 1/9/19
Ordered another pack of discs. Got another broken spindle. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Adding a second picture; you can see it’s not even opened yet. Just arriving broken as usual.

No coasters from Verbatim products

You simply can’t go wrong with any Verbatim product! I’ve been buying Verbatim CDs and DVDs for decades and to put it simply, they work! No worries about creating coasters with these. Every CD is burned without error – unlike some of the bargain brands out there. I admit that I’ve tried other brands, but they are simply not worth the "lower" price. When you have to throw away CDs because of poor quality, they are no longer a bargain. I no longer even look for alternatives any more…I simply look for the best price on Verbatim products, and usually the best price can be found on Amazon.
