This only plays in English
One is standard to open, one you won’t get frustrated opening. Compare it to opening a pack of Starburst and then the individual Starburst and putting it in your mouth. It would be easier for someone to just put an unwrapped Starburst in your mouth.

Hi, thank you for your inquiry. No the lady bug does not make a sound, it just moves back and forth.

Sadly this happened to me too, bought a new one because my daughter loves it so much
Hi, our products are made in China
NO, I personally would not pay $49 for this toy and feel that at that price, is tantamount to “price gauging.” I purchased this item less than 6months ago, at less than half that price of $49. I also paid for “frustration-free packaging” because it was cheaper.

It is a great learning toy for a 4-18 month old child, but again, I would not (personally) pay $49 for it.
It’s not the packaging that you find on store shelves which are designed to thwart shoplifters. Instead of 10 different things to cut, you just open the package and start playing.
this is a great toy. Part electronic part manipulation. Sorry you had a bad experience, but I really like v tech products

Where do I even begin…this toy is a MUST HAVE. Yes, the songs and voices are annoying and you will find yourself singing the songs in your sleep but it is worth it. My 6 month old is obsessed with this toy. It is one of the few toys I can set her on the floor with and do housework without her getting bored and angry.
The top side has 4 buttons (circle, triangle, star, square) each with an animal picture in them (circle-bird, triangle-cow, square-cat, star-dog). They have animal sounds, sing songs, play musical tunes, count to 3, play games, etc. My baby hits the buttons over and over again and loves the sound and lights. There is also a spinning cylinder on the top that rattles.
There is a side with spinning letter blocks (A,B,C,D) and another side with spinning shapes.
There is a side with musical instruments (shakers, drum, symbol) and a side with a spinning ladybug. The bottom is just blue with letters (not an exciting side).
This toy, no matter how annoying, is fun for my baby and is teaching her motor skills and cause and effect. I highly recommend it
UPDATE: My baby is now 16 months old and she still really enjoys playing with this toy. It has lasted a year and is still going strong. I love that it holds her attention still and is a toy that will grow with her. It has held up really well to all of the dropping, excessive button pushing, and spinning over a year of play. I still highly recommend this activity cube.
ANOTHER UPDATE: My daughter is now 2.5 years old and she still plays with this toy on occasion. She still loves the songs, naming all the animals, shapes, and colors on the cube. I honestly never imagined when I bought this that it would have kept her interest for 2 years, but it has. This really was the best toy purchase I have made to date.
Before kids, I couldn’t understand why parents bought their children so many noisy plastic toys. I swore we wouldn’t clutter up our house with stuff like this; rather, our little darling would have a tasteful collection of retro-inspired, minimalist wooden toys. Now that I am a mom, I understand what parents really want are sturdy, engaging toys that stimulate your child and keep them entertained. Turns out very often these things are plastic and noisy. But my 9 month old loves this toy and it holds her attention for longer than most of the toys she has. It has been so fun to watch her learn to push the buttons and play with the widgets. This toy is affordable, safe, and it makes her really happy! She loves it!
I bought this activity cube for my 9 month-old baby, because she was lagging in her gross motor skills. In particular, both my husband and I had noticed that she didn’t seem much interested in sitting. We could put her into a sitting position, but she would just tumble forward and crawl away to play with toys on the floor. So, I wanted a toy that would encourage her to sit. All of our toys seemed geared either for floor babies or for standers/walkers, rather than for sitters. I felt we needed something that would actively encourage my daughter to sit, so I poked around a little and decided on this. It had great reviews but was relatively inexpensive, so why not try it?
And it works! She loved this toy the instant she saw it. She still loves it, several days later. And it does seem to encourage her to sit. We can sit her upright in front of the toy, and she will hold on to it and play for a few minutes, which is much better than her earlier record at sitting.
As a parent, I love that there was nothing about this toy that needed assembly. I took it out of the box, turned it on, and it was ready to go. Since it already comes with batteries, I didn’t even need a screwdriver to open it up. So much better than having to get out my toolbox before the toy is ready for play!
If you have a baby who is learning to sit –say, a 6-12 month old– this is a great alternative to the activity tables that may work better for older babies.
The cube is fun for everyone. I thought at first it was a suggestion, but after having the cube in my home for what can only be years. The next line should have tipped me off but I just thought it was funny, “fun on five sides” I thought well cubes have 6 sides what’s the deal oh well. But then I looked and the 6th side and it’s covered in symbols I only later learned were used to entrap the souls of those who did not follow the first command. THE CUBE IS FUN FOR EVERYONE! I never had a problem we always laughed and smiled at the cube as did our daughter but my neighbor came over and looked angrily at the cube then screamed in terror as she realized what it was, she studied symbols of the occult and recognized the cube immediately. The cube sensing she was not having fun, quickly began to assimilate her soul. Her screams soon began to sound like a cat.. a cat in a square… Her screams I still hear them in my sleep. Anyways I met with a priest to remove her soul, but DO NOT DO THIS, the cube quickly assimilated him as well and the cube became extremely hot and burned off my fingerprints when I tried to pick it up again. I didn’t want to get rid of it because my daughter loves it. And as long as you are having fun with it, you are safe. But still I tried throwing it out but every time, EVERY SINGLE TIME it appears back on my floor in front of my smiling baby. She loves it and I gave up after throwing it in the grand canyon during a vacation and it still came back. It makes me smile not because no have to but because I love how much my daughter loves it.
I purchased this for a 12 month old’s birthday. He loves it!!! It’s a very tough high quality, high-tech toy. It’s brightly colored high impact plastics, with voices, sounds and lights with activities and functions that don’t in any way endanger any age child. Nothing falls off or even could. It’s a safe toy. Those VTech people really know how to entertain a little one! It’s just the right size and weight that he can handle, manipulate and carry it around room to room. Every single side of this toy has different challenges for motor skills and it doesn’t ignore the left-brain/ right-brain developmental needs like so many toys do. If you have children very close in age, there may arise an opportunity to instill the importance of sharing. Even a three-year old will try to snatch it away from a baby. You won’t be needing batteries. These VTech brand toys always have more than adequate batteries already in them that outlast the child’s use.
I purchased this for baby when he turned 6 months and a month later it’s still one of his favorite toys. At the moment, he loves to spin the blue/yellow wheel and the letters, beat the purple drum, and most of all, chew any raised edge he can get his mouth on. When the toy first arrived, I found the songs/voice horrendous, but now everyone in the family can be heard singing these songs throughout the day (moo moo moo moo, the cow’s in the triangle!). Baby has recently started using this toy to maneuver himself into a crouched/standing position, so it’s now turned into a supervised-only toy. Overall, we’re greatly pleased, and I can’t wait until he’s a little more dexterous to play with the the cymbals and ladybug.
My mom bought this and uses it for my dad with dementia. He absolutely loves it and its very durable for he shakes alot and drops it and it’s still ok. The noises are cute and all the gadgets are cute for regular toddlers to explore and play with as well. Cleans right off easy with alcohol pads or disinfectant cleaner with rag. This was such a great buy and would highly recommend for not only toddlers but for dementia or Alzheimer’s patients as well. Does come qith batteries for demonuse so won’t last long so you will need to buy AAA for linger use and not for water play or use around water.
My grandson is 10 months old, I bought this about two months ago.
We watch him every week for a few days, so I of course wanted educational entertaining toys for him.
This activity cube is fantastic. He will play with it for a good amount of time before moving to the next toy, and then still come back again. It’s very sturdy, as he has thrown it many times, lol. It seems he continues to discover new things he can do on it every time he plays with it….he LOVES it.
The music and sounds are great, not annoying at all, plus you have volume control. The music will always catch his attention.
I just replaced the batteries from what they provided, so do that if you feel like it’s not working anymore.
You won’t be disappointed in this toy….VTech really delivers on this one! Be a great gift to give too!!!
I purchased this cube as a Christmas gift for my grandson who is 6 months old and I couldn’t be happier. There are so many brightly colored, stimulating activities for babies to explore. For example, there are buttons on one side of the cube, each with a partucular color, shape and animal –
bird, dog, cat – and when the buttons are pressed a cute song plays that tells the color, shape, animal and the sound that animal makes. I have read other reviews who have mentioned that the music and voice are annoying but I really don’t agree. The music is catchy and The songs somewhat cute. While I think it is really great for babies under the age of 1 year (There are even places for babies to chew on) I think there are enough activities to hold the interest of older children as well. When the cube senses no activity For a short time it will ask a question such as find the blue square etc. For the price I am very happy and think this was a great purchase!
She loves it! I purchased to help my baby girl get some balance for learning to sit up on her own and so far so good! It came with batteries which is a huge plus and the volume adjust is awesome too. Colorful, lights up and sings… lots of activity on this little cube! Definitely worth the money. My kid is happy so I’m happy! Thank you!
In conclusion, This toy just may help your kid learn important skills like counting, matching, and fine motor skills. The activity cube is geared toward children from 18 months to 6 years old. It features a number cube, a shape cube, and a 3-in-1 building set. The set also has a pretend phone, so your toddler can pretend to make a call. If your son or daughter seems to grow bored quickly, simply turn the cube over.
