You have options: 1) Quiet Mode allows you to silence all sounds for up to 12 hours; 2) You can turn the base and handset ringers off. The base and each handset have independent ringer control.

I haven’t found talking caller ID yet but one nice feature is that you can listen to your messages on any handset. Yes, it does have different ring tones for each handset. Colors are great too.

It’s the equivalent of 2 AAA batteries but you can’t just use normal AAA. The batteries the handsets use are 2.4V 300mah Ni-MH which are rechargeable and have the correct input for the power supply on the handsets

Absolutely you can pick up during answering machine. I do it all the time as I can’t get to the phone in time. No problem.

So far so good! From plucking the box off the porch to putting the four phones together – 15 minutes. Super easy. Love the color coded bases and handsets (a selling point to me for sure). These replace a Panasonic set of four that we had for so long, all the batteries have gone dead and we can’t replace them. They come with some power – enough to check to see if they each have a dial tone and can access our voice mail. People have griped about the size of the screen, the font, and the contrast, making it hard to read them. The screen on each phone is almost twice the size as the ones on the Panasonic set that just got the heave-ho. The contrast is the same. You can’t read them across the room but why would you want to? Or at least I don’t want to. (If we happen to be watching TV, the incoming calls will flash on the TV screens anyway. If we are doing something else, I’ll just pick and choose when I feel like answering the phone. Most people have my mobile number anyway.) Since we have voice mail through our carrier, I won’t be setting up the answering machine part of this, so cannot speak to that. If I have trouble talking on them or hearing on them, I’ll revisit this review, but they seem fine to me.

Very nice phone set. Glad I could get them in the different colors. My daughter takes all the phones and when you ask her to put them back she swears she didn’t take them. Her phone is now is blue any other color in her possession PUT IT BACK! They took about 10 minutes to set up and look good. We’ve gotten several phone calls and they work perfectly. People seem to be complaining about the size. While they are slightly slimmer than my old ones they are still plenty big. These also have a lighted keypad which my old ones did not so that is a plus! I notice they were the only colored phones on Amazon so I am grateful to be able to get them!

The thing I like best about these phones is the sound quality. I’m hard of hearing and my previous phones made it difficult for me to understand what was being said over the phone. These phones, however, give me crystal clear sound.
I like the different colors as well, so when I find myself with a red handset lying on a table, I know which charging station it belongs to. Not crazy about the menu set-up, but once I learn how to navigate that, it’ll be fine.

Great value and lovely looking as well. The colors are way more pleasing than I thought they would be. I can’t comment on the battery as I haven’t had them long enough. The sound quality, especially on “speaker”, is much better than my Panasonic was.

I gave the battery section 5 stars but have not had the phones long enough to know how long they will last. I really like the different colors because I cannot get them mixed up as to which stand they belong to. The sound quality is good when talking on them and they are comfortable in your hand while talking. They are easy to see and read numbers when calling out or receiving a call. I like these phones.

Exceptional sound quality and volume, both durections! Easy set-up. Handsets are well balanced and fit in the hand with a light grip. Some reviewers complained about the base not supporting the handset adequately, making them easy to tip over, but I haven’t had that problem. Yes they are lightweight, so I do place them out of the way. My set has the four colors of matching handsets and chargers, which may sound a bit juvenile, but this tells me where I picked up the phone and saves me from having to hike around finding where to put it back after a call. Highly recommend.

This is an amazing little phone system. Extremely easy to setup following the easy to read instructions. The system has some great features to personalize it to your family’s needs. We like that the handsets come it different colors so that there is no confusing which handset goes to which base, as compared to our previous V-Tech phone system which don’t get me wrong we also loved and had for many years however we were constantly placing the wrong handset back on the wrong base. Also great job to Amazon for getting the new phone system to us several days sooner then the expected delivery date.

We like this phone very much. It does everything a phone should and it is very fun to look at. Color coding makes it easy to know which phone goes in what base for sure. But the base will charge any phone for sure. I gave the sound quality a 4 because there seems to be a little fuzziness when we talk on phone. But it is loud enough for my hard to hear mother to use. She can actually participate in the conversation using this phone. Battery life is wonderful. I gave a a 3 to easy to read category. The lettering is definitely big enough. But you need to shine a flashlight to see it. The keys do not light up as they should nor does the display . All that said, it is a great basic phone

We finally had to replace our old VTECH cordless phones after 10 years of service. The only thing I had to do was to replace the batteries over the years. Now the handsets are starting to wear out and I bought this similar VTECH 4 handset system. My wife wanted this one due to the multi-color handsets. I installed them easily and was able to easily set the answering machine recording, rings, etc., as they were very similar in setup as my old VTECH set. So far so good, the sound quality is excellent, and no problem with the range (all handsets within 20 feet of base unit, except the one out in the garage – about 30 feet through several walls). If this holds up for as long as my old set, I will be very happy. Will update in a few months if there are any problems.

We used to have two sets of cordless phone with different brand, and they are a mess. We always put a phone in the wrong charging station and it will lose all charge later.
Well, now we finally throw away those and replace them with this multi-color ones. No more misplaced phones and each one seems like have their own personality! I love the green one near the plants! They look lovely together. And the blue one in the living room is so cool that it definitely belongs there. Now the phone line is not split, so the voice quality is better, and everyone can use the same directory and same voice mail system, finally!
In the beginning I bought them because they were cheap. Now I think it was a brilliant idea!
