Can this hold the weight of a Google home speaker?

According to the spec sheet I looked at, a Google home speaker weighs no more than about 2.25 pounds, which should be no problem for the shelf on the surge protector multi plug outlet.

Is this safe to use for the bathroom?

Yes. That is where mine is installed and poses no problem. The bottom of the power strip rests well above cabinet level, allowing some storage space below it and keeps it safely above any water that may flow in that direction. The assumption I’m making is the outlet in which this strip will be plugged meets standard codes for electrical safety.

The bottom-most post/plug is supposedly designed to fit in the bottom outlet, yet is just a centimeter or two too high to fit. How to install this?

It fit pretty good in the outlets at my residence.
I didn’t even have to take the original plate off, just took out the middle screw with original plate and plugged in the unit. Then I screwed in the screw that came with the new outlet.

It sounds like your having issues with the bottom plastic single post on the new unit. I assume you could just break it off, plug it in with the upper electrical metal plug and screw it in to the outlet like that ??

Aren’t the side mounted outlets appear to oriented wrong.?The cord of a 3 prong cord would be jammed into the wall?

What you asked is true. However, 3-prong cords are available with straight-on plugs that don’t require the 90-degree bend in the "wrong" direction. In addition, the outlet extender has six front-facing outlets that accept 90-degree plugs without interference. If your applications fill up all the available outlets, you … What you asked is true. Is this made in China?

yes this item it is made in china

Could it power a PC and charge other devices at the same time?

Yes. I power my watches on it

How much weight does the shelf hold?

I just placed a large hand lotion, a bottle of hand sanitizer, and a bottle of body spray on the shelf and it holds it just fine. The shelf slides on from the back side of the plug-in unit, so it cannot fall off once the unit is screwed in. Overall, the shelf and unit is sturdy.

Is there a reset button once it trips?

The Wall Outlet Extender has a surge suppressor rated up to 490 joules. Its purpose is to eliminate short duration voltage transients, which can potentially peak at several hundred volts. In that time, they can cause hardware to malfunction. A reset button isn’t included because the Outlet isn’t a circuit breaker. In an older home does it blow fuses? There are only 1 outlets in some rooms in my sons older home so curious if circuit breakers trip.

Installing the outlet extender itself should have no effect on your circuits. It’s when you start plugging cords into the extender and turning them on is when you could blow fuses if you exceed the fuse’s amperage rating. Be aware of the circuit load for items you have turned on at the same time and your fuses should be fine.

Good purchase

I really love this it’s very handy I’m ordering 3 more I esp like to put my Alexa on and there are plenty of plugins. I would suggest a style change by putting the charging ports along the side or the front bottom instead of the top under the platform for easier access.

Highly functional

The wall outlet extender and shelf replaced a standard plug and a power strip. This item has many more outlets than I expected to find and the shelf was a bonus. By installing it, was able to move several items off the counter and reduced clutter while still being able to power those items that needed to be plugged in. Highly recommend it for its functionality and ease of installation.

Great option for anyone needing to charge or have multiple devices at once.

So far I’m happy with the purchase. My wife and I share one outlet next to our chairs in the media room and that’s usually fine until we both need to charge our phones and if I need to charge my DAP or laptop all at the same time it becomes a hassle. I love the fact this has USB c and two regular USB ports for charging our devices. 12 plugs is a bit over kill I would never recommend using all 12 but it’s nice ti have the option to plug anywhere you may want to to keep things tidy. Be aware this unit plugs in and requires you to remove your old screw from the wall plate. On my installation I removed the wall plate all together and it was a nice clean flush mount and very sturdy. The added top shelf tray is just a bonus great for laying down a battery bank to charge over night etc.

Would buy again and probably will for the office.

A great little gadget!

This is a great little gadget! The only thing I would add would be a nightlight. I didn’t see one available for this brand.

Ultra functional!

Love this outlet with the super functional shelf! The shelf has a non slip pad on one half.

doesnt go side to side just up and down

i was needing one that i could turn on its side and plug in and i thought this one did that but it doesnt,, still using it and love it but just wished it could be used both ways

Handles all my electrical devices

I no longer have to keep unplugging and plugging different devices. All my rechargeable devices stay fully charged

Saves me from dangly wires on strip plug.

Best use by the TV where I charge everything. Nothing much on a wire on the floor anymore.

Very useful in my kitchen

I put this on my breakfast nook and use the top part of it for my kitchen echo I feel often kitchens don’t have enough plugs so this really works for the pieces that I need to connect to it.

Wall outlet with USB

Love this item, usually have several things to plug in and a couple of charging items, works great and looks good
