Facts About Waterproof Twin Magnetic Case – for Optimus 2.0 GPS Tracker – GPS Tracker not Included
Ships in Amazon packaging.
Yes. and also the Optimus tracker which is the best tracker on Amazon.
The inside could probably perfectly for a pack of cigarettes, with a little room width wise left over, but length wise a snug fit. Hope this answers your question:)
Like a locking lug nut key socket , most likely yes
Do not use on any dog. It is too big and heavy, it also has magnets.
This item is an empty box, not a GPS tracker.
Our trackers only work in the USA at this time.
I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this magnet. It doesn’t effect nothing and it works perfect.
Not really
Every car is different.
I lifted my two cars in the car shop and look from underneath.
Generally I recommend to attach it to one of the main beams of the chassis because it’s straight and attaches in the best and strongest way. … Every car is different.

For me personally it was near the egzost pipe.
No, this is just a magnetic case.
It depends on how much it moves around and how often you want it to transmit I have mine set for every sixty seconds when I’m moving and got three weeks in cold weather. But ya, about every two weeks.
As far as I can see there is no rust.
yes
That’s a good question, but it really depends on the particular vehicle, and how "subtle" you want it to be. For example let’s say that you really don’t want anyone to know that it’s there; in that case I’d probably hide it somewhere in the engine compartment. Most people today don’t recognize much of what’s under the hood of a newer generation car, including me and I was a "car guy" when I was younger. So, you could easily put (hide) it somewhere on the firewall or on the fender, underneath some of the other stuff that’s there…again, depending on the vehicle. Or you can put it somewhere under the vehicle attached to part of the frame or? The magnets are very strong, so unless someone is going "off-roading" or entering the Baja 1000, it should stay attached just fine. If "subtleness" isn’t an issue, then you could probably put it under the dashboard somewhere or in the spare tire well. Anyway, lot’s of options depending on the purpose. Good luck.

Awesome Product , found cheating spouse here at picture below
Very strong magnets, have no fear this will stick to your car very well. I tested it on a sedan and an suv and drove about 200 miles on each car, highway and city, over bumps, and in the rain. This thing stuck on tight!
The magnetic case is strong quality, but remember it is plastic attached to metal magnets ,so if you place this under a car, AVOID areas that get HOT, like the muffler or exhaust system or the cats. The case will melt and warp, and magnets that get hot lose their ability to stick to metal, and you will either have a damaged case, or the case with your tracker in it, will fall off at any random time. I tested my case out after having it for a few hours and i placed it too close to the muffler and it was damaged, very easily. I emailed seller and the customer service is excellent, there is a phone number and they answer emails very quickly. They sent me a new case a day later, no charge. Yes the case is water proof and i tested it by driving through a full day of rain.
The media could not be loaded. Nice construction, strong magnets. Just what I needed to stash a key. Looks like it should hold up well. Video shows how it opens/closes.
UPDATE: Case is holding strong and airtight, but finish on magnets has failed. Lots of flaking rust. This box is stored up high on a bumper and doesn’t get much moisture. Magnets still strong.
Possibly the best purchase I’ve made on Amazon. Great product made of strong material, and once you place it, it won’t move an inch. Reliable and discreet. Again, if this is along the lines of what you’re looking for, do yourself a favor and go ahead and get this one. It’s perfect
This case is the perfect size for the GL300W, which is slightly longer than the GL300 mini. A competitor’s case was too tight for the GL300W and would trip the reset button on it. Highly recommend this case for both the GL300W and the GL300 mini.
I have a 2010 Outback, along with the unfortunate propensity to also inadvertently lock my keys in my car.
I often just need a key to get IN to the car, as the chip key is usually sitting on the seat, yet inaccessible.
I have often called AAA or family to help me out at such times (we have a ‘key amnesty ‘policy in my family- no matter what the status of the relationship at the time, we will always help each other out on lockouts).
However, my family moved on sabbatical to another country this year, and AAA sometimes can’t find you if you are out in the countryside.
I purchased this item and tested it for one week (empty) by attaching it to my car undercarriage.
I proceeded to use my Subaru, taking full advantage of its ground clearance as I covered all sorts of terrain (highway, city, overland, farmland, country chip roads with gravel upspray, etc.) in all sorts of weather.
It wasn’t exactly a ‘Tough Mudder’ situation, but it was a robust week of activity.
The box stuck.
On the recommendation of a friend- who remarked ” yeah, but put some weight in there to see if it pops open”- I removed some of the foam padding and added some rocks (wrapped) to provide some heft.
I repeated the aforementioned test.
The box stuck- did not pop open.
I have placed an unmarked house key in it and a car key that is actually cut for my car door but is a chip blank (without the chip) (purchased and cut at my local Ace Hardware for ~ $25).
It’s a bit of a tight fit, but still doable.
That key will open the car door but not drive the car.
That’s fine- I know my pattern, and I’ll probably have at LEAST one chip key in the car that can be used to drive the car when I need it.
I specifically had the key cut to be WITHOUT a chip because I don’t want nefarious people in public parking lots being able to scan said chip key (sitting under my car) while I’m shopping.
If it doesn’t have a chip, they can’t scan it
(on reflection, though, I think that I would have to engage the key manually for the RFID mechanism to produce signal that is scannable, so it’s a moot point).
Fine purchase- would buy again!
Awesome case; sticks to anything metal like glue; i had to slide it to the edge of the metal bar just to get it off! I was afraid that it wouldn’t send a signal under the car but it worked.
This is a sturdy case with 2 powerful magnets. Bought it for back up RV storage keys and the padding holds the keys in place. Attached it under the frame and 300 miles after heavy winds and bumpy roads still in place.
VERY powerful magnets on this box, once you install it, this thing isn’t going anywhere! Good news if you’d like to slap a GPS tracker under your cheating wife’s/husband’s car or even your own. It fits my GPS tracker perfectly with protective foam in there to make sure that the device sits in there nice and secured. It’s made of plastic of course since a GPS tracker wont function properly when surrounded by metal, so if the cheap plastic parts break, just buy another.
Initially the price gave me sticker shock compared to many less expensive products advertised on Amazon. However, once I studied the various product features, one quickly recognizes that we are talking about an “A” product compared to mostly “C+” products. Furthermore, the various user reviews support this comparison. For instance, I got 21 days battery life. Granted I set location updates every 90 seconds instead of 30 which does make a difference, but it was sufficient for my objective. Most of the reviews that I read with other CHEAPER units might give a week in similar usage and conditions.
Trust but verify is my motto and this product allows me to ensure after school activities are exactly what I am being told. The only thing I didn’t like was it showed me stops at red lights. I wish there was a way to not display stops under a minute; nevertheless, it was easy enough to ascertain which stops were at lights.
Because I travel a lot, sometimes two weeks at a time, I needed a product that had superior battery life. As a single parent, I have no one else to pull the unit off for charging.
I live in an area which is all hills (very big) and lots of valleys. I have the unit mounted to the under carriage right behind the rear bumper. I never ever had an issue with gaps because of a weak signal.
I can’t comment on service but I can tell you that a day or so from activation, I got a message from a company tech letting me know he was there to assist me whenever I had a problem. Good to know but I have had zero problems.
Start up instructions were easy to follow, like 5 minutes. If I offered one criticism (possible one), its the online dashboard control. It could be more intuitive and better layout. Then again, it was intuitive enough that I figured use of the dashboard in five minutes. I didn’t do any “help” reading on the site.
So on summary, you get what you pay for. The unit is extremely reliable, puts out a strong signal and offers the best battery life that I could find in the price range. Over all, easy to use and follow online.
I would also note that I bought the Optimus case. Two points, in the case the tracker stays totally waterproof, secondly it takes quite a lot of pull to get that thing off the vehicle. So I can’t offer any comments about the magnets on the tracker itself. I bought the case at $19 primarily just to rain proof the tracker.
