After all this work, my A54 was beginning to look like it belonged. It is clean, works well, is quiet, and doesn’t send much or any data to the mothership. I wish I could turn off or get rid of even more parts, but that’s just the way things are. It would have been easy for me to get something as basic as a Google Pixel, but the other things I needed were too far away for me to afford that.
It’s not a surprise that the phone is quick. Almost any current phone will work well for basic tasks. The A54 could do better when it comes to comfort. Let’s begin with the good things. This is thick, which helps you hold it better. It’s easy to hold because the edges are raised and sharp. Notched borders are more in style now than they were in the past when they were round.
This new style is better for me. Like the scene from The Dictator movie, round and pointy. Yes, of course. The Samsung Keyboard is also nice because the number row stays on all the time. It also shows the extra characters like @ and.com that can be seen on the main pad in situations where they are needed. Cool. But I did make the fonts smaller because the big size that came with it seems wrong. The other way around most of the time.
