The Sennheiser RS 175 headphones are good for home theater but not great for other uses. The stand emitter makes it hard to use them outside, and they aren’t flexible enough for all settings and situations. You can’t really use the headphones if you’re not close to the source and the emitter or in direct line of sight. Average for listening that is neutral. If you want to listen to music without any bias, the RS 165 is a better choice. Because they don’t have enough mid-range, they sound boomy because they have too much bass. Bass and voices will be a little less clear than on the RS 165.
Aside from that, they sound better, and because they have a bass and treble heavy response, movies will sound exciting. You might not hear the words as well, though. Not bad for the office. They’re comfy and easy to use, and they have a good line of sight. They do, however, leak a little and don’t block out enough noise for very noisy offices.
